DREAMWALK

Bio:
DreamwalkDreamwalk formed in 1999 as an all-star collective of aspiring young rock musicians. Owing to their sophisticated and appealing sound, the band instantly attracted widespread local attention and was signed to the European premiere major label, Multimedia records, in 2000 when most of band members were still in their teens. Multimedia records is a licensee for Universal Music Group.
In 2001, Dreamwalk released their debut album Far Away From LA, ultimately featuring four tracks in Slovenian destined for radio airplay, in addition to eight tracks in English. Videos for Dreamwalk’s first two singles Lonelyboy and Sijaj held top spots on national video charts for a total of eleven weeks while the album itself was a top 20 item for a considerable time period following its debut. The track Sidewalk princess, a symbol of the then exceedingly popular »skatepunk« style, became an anthem of local youth culture and continues to remain a favorite with the young alternative audience to this day.
Between 2001 and 2003, Dreamwalk toured their home country and shared the stage with some of its biggest rock and pop acts, such as Siddharta and Elvis Jackson. During this period, the band was joined by nineteen-year-old Tamir Gostiša, son of Yugoslavian rock legend Bor Gostiša. Tamir’s prodigious guitar skills added a final touch to the already powerful Dreamwalk sound, giving the band an unmistakable musical foundation to go with their lead singer’s highly distinctive vocals. Dreamwalk eventually parted from Multimedia records on friendly terms in early 2004.
Their second album Three Days Later was recorded in Munich, Germany in 2004 with accomplished German producer Jurgen “Yogi” Lang. The result was an outstanding record that transcended changing musical trends and tastes, and still stands as a true testament to the band’s extraordinary talent and vision. This CD was one of the best selling domestic English language CD’s of their generation, and was was gaining enough sales to put them on track to be a gold record hopeful.
Dreamwalk self-recorded a video for the single “What if” that became an instant success and stayed on top of Slovenian video charts for several weeks. The band toured Germany and Italy in the coming year and entered talks with SonyBMG, which eventually failed to materialize to the band’s great disappointment.
On CNET’s Download.com site, arguably the world’s most popular free music resource at the time, Dreamwalk ranked among the top ten audience favorites in their genre for a few years with the total download count reaching 200,000, in the exclusive company of such massively successful American acts as Hawthorne Heights, Fallout Boy, Underoath and Silverstein.
In January of 2012, Dreamwalk signed to Brain Fuse Records based in the United States. Both parties are very excited about the future of this band both in Europe and in America. Dreamwalk will be in the studio in Munich recording their new CD expected to release under the Brain Fuse brand in the spring of 2013.
