FORGOTTEN EDEN

Bio:
Forgotten EdenThe story began in a small Slovenian village. Brothers Počkaj (Jure & Nejc) and their friend Miha Nedoh practically started to rock even before they made their first steps. They are very fortunate to have understanding parents who are not only keen on Slovenian folk music (polka˛waltz) but they also like rock music. At the beginning the band was influenced by the raw riffs of groups like Metallica and Guns`n`roses as well as rock bands from Slovenia (e.g. Orange, Shank rock, etc.).
»We gathered pots, pans and boxes, put them together, stole an old acoustic guitar and made some sort of noise. We called ourselves ˝Gusarji˝ which means ˝The Pirates˝. On our first day in primary school things became serious since we realized that the two brothers, Simon and Marko, lived in the same village and that they had the same idea of playing in the band. It was the year 1991.«
The members of the band back than were still begging their parents to buy new instruments for them, they were practising covers and their own inventions but most of all they had to eat because they were still small. In a way, FORGOTTEN EDEN was unique on the Slovenian rock scene at that time; right from the start, the band was aiming on the international hard rock scene, so Jure wrote all the lyrics in English and everything was turning around global themes.
The name FORGOTTEN EDEN was selected on January 2nd 1998 and this is the day when the band celebrates its anniversary. The first concert was given in Avgust 1998 in front of 2000 enthusiastic people and they were all saying: ˝Look, these kids can play!˝ All concerts were in the sign of the rock&roll music and everybody liked us. FORGOTTEN EDEN is a well known band on the Slovenian hard metal scene!
The band gave concerts all around Slovenia but hard times came four years later when guitarist Marko left the band because he went to college. Several guitarists joined the band one after another, but then Edo came. He really fitted in with the other members of the band as a guitarist and as a friend. One day Simon told us that he was leaving the band, too, because he wanted to dedicate himself to classical music, so Jimmy took his place. (Thanks to both of them the members of FORGOTTEN EDEN are only 20 years old on an average.)
In 2005 we started to record our first demo at the home of the singer. We have a great time, a lot of concerts and dreams to realize in the future. We are young and ready to rock!
