HATESPHERE

Bio:
HatesphereFormed in Arhus, Denmark, by guitarist Peter "Pepe" Hansen in 2000, HATESPHERE quickly overpowered the Danish metal scene, while concurrently setting an immeasurable new standard for thrash metal domestically and abroad. The band’s first three albums, "HateSphere", "Bloodred Hatred", and "Ballet Of The Brute" upgraded the band’s status from local sensation to Europe’s hottest up and coming thrash quintet. Under the leadership of Scarlet Records, HATESPHERE toured Europe with The Haunted in 2003 and again with Exodus in 2004, while also turning heads at Wacken Open Air, With Full Force and France’s Hellfest. In 2005, HATESPHERE inked a deal with SPV Records and assembled a production team of established Danish producers, including Tommy Hansen, Jacob Hansen, and Tue Madsen. "The Sickness Within" was released in September of that same year, receiving raving reviews from the worldwide metal media and landing HATESPHERE on multiple tours in Europe with Kreator, Morbid Angel, Soilwork Dark Tranquillity, and Chimaira. In addition to headlining shows in support of the album, the band appeared at various open air festivals. HATESPHERE continued to increase its profile on an international level by touring Japan, co-headlining the UK with Gojira and headlining the first edition of "The Danish Dynamite" tour, showcasing Denmark’s most talented metal bands, with Raunchy and Volbeat. HATESPHERE again made history by being the first Danish band to tour China. Following the 2007 release of "Serpent Smiles And Killer Eyes", which shot up to position 26 on the Danish National Music Charts, HATESPHERE yet again hit the road headlining Europe with Aborted and Dagoba, which was followed by successful performances at European festivals and a supporting Behemoth on tour in Poland. HATESPHERE is tough to the bone! When they entered stage at the 2007 Danish Metal Awards, all members were new, except for one. All doubt casted over the band’s lineup instantly shattered as the band hit the ground running with a month long co-headlining tour of Europe with Swedish legends Dismember. The songwriting for a new album begun, and "To The Nines" was released March 2009. Produced again by Tue Madsen, the album was received incredibly well and was awarded with a Danish Metal Award as "Album Of The Year" in 2010! Once more the band changed their line-up, but it didn’t stop the band - quite on the contrary. Esben "Esse" Hansen (ex-As We Fight, Numbnuts) was picked up as their new vocalist, Mike Park (ex-Mercenary) took over the drums, and Jimmy "The Talent" Nedergaard (Gob Squad) was presented as the band’s new bass player. Two US tours with The Black Dahlia Murder and Nevermore were the best way to show that this band is indeed unstoppable, and with this new and experienced line-up the song writing for their seventh full length release "The Great Bludgeoning" begun. Following its release, the album entered the Danish National Charts on #40, at the same time as HATESPHERE co-headlined the successful "Headbangers Ball" tour through Denmark. This tour marked the beginning of the touring cycle of the album, which started in the fall of 2011, and lead them through most of Europe and Scandinavia. The album won the prestigious Danish Gaffa Award for "Best Hard Rock Album”. After successful tours in Eastern Europe, festival appearances (Summer Breeze, Metalcamp) and an EU tour with Mnemic, they began to write songs for their upcoming 8th album, entitled "Murderlust", in late 2012. An album that will be the first release on the band’s new label, Massacre Records from Germany. In May 2013 HATESPHERE entered the studio to record this new beast. As on its predecessor it was Tue Madsen who handled the production and Mnemic’s Mircea Gabriel Eftemie who did the cover artwork. With a line-up of very experienced musicians this album shows HATESPHERE as we know them, but also from its very diverse side: Typical thrashy HATESPHERE tunes like the title track "Murderlust" and "Punishable By Death", the heavy and rock-inspired "The Violent Act" and last but not least the slow and atmospheric "Fear Me" - all shows that the band dares to be different without losing their integrity! In the fall of 2013 HATESPHERE is embarking on a first European tour with Swedish death masters Hypocrisy and further touring in Europe, US and Asia is already in the making. Don’t miss this unstoppable force on the road! With "Murderlust" - to be released in late September 2013 via Massacre Records - the Danish legends of thrash metal set their sights on old-school values and diversity! Hell is here - HateSphere!
