Jack the StripperForming in 2007, Melbourne’s JACK THE STRIPPER have cemented their reputation amongst the heavy music scene of Australia, with their fierce and innovative brand of chaotic hardcore, a relentless work ethic and and an atypical, ferocious on-stage prowess. JACK THE STRIPPER live is a boundary-pushing, total sensory-inclusive, interactive extreme experience.
It is one of the most incredibly intense live shows you will ever see.
The band’s candid and visceral approach has gained them many plaudits from both fans and critics alike, leading them to be listed as “the best heavy live performance in Australia” by Triple J. The group first released the ‘Black Annis’ EP in 2009, before delivering their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Raw Nerve’ in 2013, which I Probably Hate Your Band proclaimed as “up there with the giants of the genre”.
Following the release of ‘Raw Nerve’, the band has gone onto tour Australia and Asia (including Japan) extensively, supporting international heavyweights such as THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, FEAR FACTORY, CANCER BATS, KING PARROT, NORTHLANE, NE OBLIVISCARIS, IWRESTLEDABEARONCE, BLACK TONGUE, CARNIFEX, ROLO TOMASSI, and many more. In addition, the group have performed at notable festivals including Wake Up Festival (Taiwan), Bigsound, Invasion Fest, and Sonic Forge.
JACK THE STRIPPER are currently working on their second album, due to be released in the not too distant future. With further plans in motion to significantly tour nationally and internationally, JACK THE STRIPPER are on the road to becoming one of the world's most recognised extreme music acts.
