Krallice Krallice is an American experimental black metal band from New York City, formed in 2007 by guitarist Colin Marston and vocalist/guitarist Mick Barr. Known for their dense, highly technical sound, the group blends traditional black metal intensity with progressive structures, dissonant harmonies, and intricate multi-layered guitar work.
After their self-titled debut in 2008, the lineup solidified with bassist/vocalist Nick McMaster and drummer Lev Weinstein, completing a quartet that has remained central to the band’s evolving identity. Over the years, Krallice have become recognized for their prolific output and constant stylistic development, releasing more than a dozen full-length albums, including Diotima (2011), Ygg Huur (2015), and Inorganic Rites (2024).
Their music is often described as expansive and challenging, merging relentless black metal speed with progressive and avant-garde influences, while maintaining a distinct emotional intensity and compositional complexity. Members are also active in numerous other projects, contributing to the band’s reputation as a collaboration of highly respected underground musicians in modern extreme metal.
Today, Krallice are regarded as one of the most influential and innovative acts in contemporary experimental black metal.
