MULTIBALL

Bio:
MultiballAfter more than a 100 shows all over Slovenia, Austria, Italy, Germany and Croatia over the last two years, and less than a year and a half since the release of their debut album »At last!«, the four-piece emo/pop/punk group from Celje proudly presents their second album, entitled »Endless journey«. »Endless journey« is a summation of the events that marked the developement of the band over the last year. The arrival of new guitarist Goran meant that Gregor, Anže and Jan gained a steady member and extra experiences. As Gregor put it : »We finally function as a unity, as a band! This past year was great. We played a lot of gigs in Slovenia and abroad, we opened for Germany`s Beatsteaks and USA`s Strung Out. The end result is this new record, which contains 12 songs that we recorded and mixed in about three weeks time with our producer Aleš Uratnik.« As already mentioned above, the new record marks a new era for the band, but the reason for a conceptual album is better explained by Gregor: »After the departure of former guitarist Timi, we found ourselves at a crossroads. We had some songs already written for our upcoming record, but, to be honest, we didn`t have a clue about how to move on. What followed were four gigs that we did as a trio, and on one of those gigs we met Goran. It was a lucky coincidence. Then came the riffs, after the riffs came the rhythms, after the rhythms came the melodies and after the melodies came the lyrics. The lyrics form a story that unravels within a week of someone`s life, but it actually depicts the four of us and the events connected to us over the last year.« So the record is filled with emotions, and the emotions are positive. The guys present themselves in a positive manner and turn out to be one year older and more mature. »When the first record came out, we fulfilled one of our goals that we set for ourselves when we started this band in 2001. The record was well received and it got us the attention of an Italian label called Indelirium records and they handled the distribution for Italy and Japan. With the first album we crossed a lot of boundaries and got a lot of gigs and experience because of that. Now we`re here with our second album which is musically more mature, diverse and also better produced than the first. »Endless journey« will be on the same label as the first record for Slovenia and Italy, with the slight difference being that the promotion for Slovenia will be handled by Cela pametna založba.« The Slovenian release date is planned for october the 3rd 2005 and will be followed by a promotional tour. This tour will take place in the upcoming months of fall and winter, although: »The tour will take place on weekends, as due to our other commitements (like jobs or school), we cannot afford to tour for three or four weeks in a row. We named it the »Fat balls« tour, as the other band with us is going to be Leaf-fat from Ljubljana, which released their debut album in June. Together we have managed to book 15 concerts all over Slovenia and Austria. Besides this tour we will play at least 10 other shows and support some pretty big bands.« Despite the release of their second album, the members of Multiball remain caucious in their predictions for the future: »One of the next necessary steps is the making of a video that will introduce us to a broader audience home and abroad, as we are only known to a handful of those who really care about the music scene. Our hope is that, based on what they see and hear, people will be enticed to come to one of our shows and enable us to live the way we live. Concerts mean the most to us and making music without them makes no sense!« So come on and join Multiball on their »Endless journey«!
