PLANNING FOR BURIAL

Bio:
Planning for Burial Planning for Burial is the long-running solo project of Thom Wasluck, a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Since its beginnings in 2005, Planning for Burial has carved out a deeply personal space between doom, shoegaze, drone, industrial music and slow-burning alternative rock. Working entirely alone, Wasluck writes, records, performs and designs the project himself, turning walls of distorted guitars and crushing heaviness into intimate reflections on isolation, loss and the passing of time. After acclaimed releases including Leaving, Desideratum and Below the House, Planning for Burial returned in 2025 with its fourth full-length album, It’s Closeness, It’s Easy, released by The Flenser. The record explores aging, grief, friendship, addiction and the quiet changes that accumulate throughout life. Twenty years into the project, Planning for Burial remains a singular and uncompromising voice in the darker corners of heavy music.
