TERROLOKAUST

Bio:
TerrolokaustRenowned for the passion and quality of their live performances, leading Spanish alternative act TERROLOKAUST exemplify powerful programming, expressive and versatile vocals, and an explicit understanding of how to successfully hybridize rock and electronica.
Mixed and co-produced by Andy LaPlegua (COMBICHRIST/ICON OF COIL) and mastered by Krischan Wesenberg (ROTERSAND/FUTURE LIED TO US), expectation is already sky-high for the band’s long-awaited fifth album “The Chasm” – which comes out on DWA this May…
The Barcelona-based duo of Javi (vocals) and Indio (programming/guitar) plus live guitarist Aury and drummer Angel are now confirmed as one of the opening acts for the European leg of COMBICHRIST’s “One Fire” world tour – performing tracks from “The Chasm” for the first time, prior to the band’s biggest show so far at the famed M’era Luna festival in Germany this August.
Lauded by the likes of GRENDEL, NACHTMAHR, SOMAN and REAPER on its release, TERROLOKAUST’s 2011 album for DWA “God Loves The Violence” justifiably generated rave reviews and catapulted the band to prominence in the electro-industrial scene - while seeing them subsequently appear live at Wave Gotik Treffen, Summer Darkness, Vampire Party Live and Revolution in Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, The UK, Greece and Spain.
2013’s follow-up “Spit The Poison Out” spent 8 consecutive weeks in the Top Ten Albums of the Deutsche Alternative Charts, peaking at #3, and was also the band’s first US release. It also led to the band’s first vinyl in the shape of the 7” and 12” singles “The Way It Must Be” and “Scars That Never Heal”. Slowly but surely, TERROLOKAUST started to become a fixture on the German festival circuit, and played their first major European tour – spending 3 weeks on the road opening for AESTHETIC PERFECTION/FADERHEAD - and another week in the UK with ICON OF COIL.
In 2016, TERROLOKAUST’s 4th album “Dissensions” resulted in a first ever #1 album for both band and label on the Deutsche Alternative Charts – amidst a steady stream of festival appearances around Europe including Lumous (Finland), Autumn Moon (Germany), Resistanz (UK) and a range of clubs in London (with SITD), Moscow (with NOISUF-X), Switzerland and of course Spain.
Topping a #1 is a tall order for any artist. Seeking to create something that would sound slightly different from their previous albums, for “The Chasm” the band tapped longtime friend and fan Andy LaPlegua to lend his production chops to the record. For someone as busy as the singer of COMBICHRIST, finding time to get this done was always destined to take a while – but the powerful end product speaks for itself. Given a finishing touch at the audio mastering stage by another longtime friend Krischan Wesenberg, the resulting sonic depth of “The Chasm” is destined and designed to swallow you whole.
